David Hill, Registered Principal and Branch Manager, Independent Financial Group
David is a Registered Principal and Independent Financial Advisor with IFG. He is the engine that powers this firm by making his clients the top priority. David is a 19-year veteran specializing in asset allocation strategies, income distribution planning, and tax-advantaged investing and holds the Accredited Asset Management Specialist designation from The College for Financial Planning, along with a B.A. in Economics, Finance and a minor Accounting. He is a native Texan who spent much of his early career traveling, until deciding to settle down in New Mexico with his wife Jennifer, to raise their family. Outside of work, David loves spending time with his wife Jennifer and daughters Jena and Sofia. He also enjoys camping, hiking, four wheeling, and many other activities in the great outdoors.
Jennifer Hill, Marketing Associate
Jennifer is a native New Mexican who worked for the financial industry since 1992. She met her husband when they were both working and traveling the U.S. for the same financial service company. After getting married, they decided to go out on their own, so they moved back to Jennifer’s roots and the beautiful Organ Mountains. Jennifer helped open this firm alongside her husband, David. Although much of her time is spent outside the office raising their twin daughters, Jena and Sofia, Jennifer is still a crucial force behind the scenes.
William Davila, Advisor, Independent Financial Group
William came to David Hill Financial in 2015. He specializes in helping clients with income and tax advantage strategies, as well as college and legacy planning . William believes because every person’s financial goals are unique, the best possible investment plan can only be created after carefully listening to each client. William currently holds Series 7 and 63 securities registrations, life and health insurance license, earned a Bachelor of the Arts from New Mexico State University and is fluent in Spanish. He has lived in New Mexico all his life and has worked in Las Cruces since 1990. When William is not in the office he enjoys spending time with his children Damian and Jazmin and also is very active in the Centennial Hawks football and wrestling programs for which his son competes.
Sylvia Lopez, Branch Operation Manager
As an Executive Assistant at David Hill Financial, Sylvia is highly trusted by our clients and team of advisors. She will ensure your investment and financial goals are put into action according to the plan you and your advisor create together. Sylvia is also responsible for the day to day operations of our office so that our team of advisors focus entirely on your financial needs. Clients of David Hill Financial often describe her as caring and knowledgeable because she knows you personally.
As a licensed insurance specialist, she also assists David and William finding the right life insurance needs that will best fit your insurance plan. Prior to David Hill Financial, she brings over two decades of experience in budgeting, inventory reconciliation and corporate management.Outside of work, Sylvia enjoys her time best with her husband James, and their 5 boys JJ, Diego, CJ and Jacob who attend school here in Las Cruces; and her eldest, Matthew, proudly serving in the US Navy. Your interests will be well-served with Sylvia.
Marcel Garza, Business Development Specialist
When you stop by David Hill Financial or give our office a call, Marcel will often be the first person to greet you. He is a professional dedicated to providing individuals, families, and businesses we work with the highest level of customer service. With over three years of experience assisting our clients, he specializes in addressing client inquiries and finding answers to their questions. Las Cruces has been home for Marcel his entire life. He is a full-time student at New Mexico State University pursuing a degree in finance and passionate about giving back to our local community. He enjoys getting together with friends, traveling to music festivals, and currently holds office in NMSU’s Business Fraternity.
